Ms. Rita Sinha is a retired I.A.S. officer from the post of Secretary to the Government of India, Department of Land Resources, Ministry of Rural Development. She has held several assignments both in the Central and State Governments in a career spanning almost 38 years. Ms. Sinha has been a Director on the Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. from 2011 till 2014. She was an Independent Director on the Board of Maithon Power Limited.
Mr. Santanu Biswas has ~23 years’ experience in Indian financing space, particularly Infrastructure, covering both debt and equity. Since joining ICICI Venture in October 2014, Santanu has been part of the team that set up a Platform focused on buy-out of power projects in India. Prior to joining ICICI Venture, Santanu had spent ~9 years in ICICI Bank (Project Finance Group, focusing on Power sector and International Syndications Group) and ~4 years in Citigroup Global Markets India (Capital Markets team focusing on providing debt solution to Indian corporates).
Mr. Santanu is a Chartered Accountant and a Post Graduate Diploma holder in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.
Ms Anjali Akhileshwar Pandey is currently serving as President – Generation business at The Power Company Limited. Ms Anjali joins us from Cummins Group in India where she was serving the role of Chief Operating Officer. Ms Anjali is a dynamic executive with over two decades of extensive experience in strategic management and operational leadership and within the manufacturing sector. She has a proven track record of driving significant growth and innovation in the manufacturing sector. Her achievements include overseeing substantial revenue growth and driving operational excellence across numerous plants, while championing sustainability initiatives. Her leadership was instrumental in launching new lines of business, driving operational improvements, and establishing a strong, diverse teams with effective succession plans. Ms Anjali held various key leadership positions focused on plant operations, customer relationship management, and business development, honing her expertise in general management, manufacturing and supply chain management. Ms Anjali has completed her Bachelor’s in Production Engineering from Pune University and an MBA in Finance and Strategy from Kelley School of Business, USA. Ms Anjali is a passionate advocate of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion at workplace and society at large. She is an avid reader and loves to spend time with friends and family. Her hobbies include reading, travelling to new places and learning culture and history.
Mohit Batra is the Executive Director on the Board of ICICI Venture, which is ICICI group alternative assets company, where he leads the Infrastructure practice. He joined ICICI Bank in 1992 and worked in the areas of corporate and project finance across a range of manufacturing sectors. He then moved to Mumbai as a part of ICICI Bank’s newly set up Infrastructure SBU and in 2004 was given the responsibility to Head the Project Finance Group which worked across the entire spectrum of Telecom, Manufacturing, Infrastructure, and Oil & Gas industries. In addition, Mohit was also involved in the strategic finance and advisory services offered by ICICI Bank including M&A, transaction structuring, acquisition financing etc. for the period 2006-07. Mohit has experience of around 150 deals including Public Private Partnerships aggregating to a project cost of over USD 77 billion. He has worked across the entire Capital structure including equity, subordinated /mezzanine debt and senior debt with total financing committed of around USD 36 billion.
Mohit has operated at the board level of companies and has had hands on experience in buyouts, project finance, corporate banking, equity investing, strategic finance and resolution of stressed assets. He has in the past worked on several infrastructure policy initiatives undertaken by the Government in the areas of power, airports, telecom and roads.
At ICICI Venture, Mohit is responsible for infrastructure vertical. The infrastructure vertical has assets under advice with enterprise value of USD 1.75 billion through Resurgent Power (a platform company co-sponsored with Tata Power). The assets include one generation asset i.e. Prayagraj Power Generation Company (1980 MW supercritical plant) and two transmission assets i.e. South East UP Transmission and NRSS XXXVI Transmission, with lines across 4 States.
Mr. Vijay Vinayak Namjoshi is Chief Generation of Tata Power Company Limited since Feb 2020. He holds bachelor’s degree of Mechanical Engineering from Sardar Patel College of Engineering, Mumbai. He joined the Tata Power in the year 1983 as a Graduate Engineer Trainee and has worked more than four decades in various functions/ divisions of the Company. During his illustrious career he has held various positions in the areas like Deputy Project Manager – Maithon, Special projects in O&M, Chief – Jojobera Thermal Power station, Chief Executive Officer of Coastal Gujarat Power Limited etc. He has been instrumental in leveraging RCM & digital solutions to achieve O&M excellence in thermal Generation. As Chief Generation, he provides strategic vision and overall direction to Operating divisions for achieving its corporate objectives.
He is on the board of Tata Power subsidiary companies like Maithon Power Ltd, Industrial Energy Ltd & Prayagraj Power Generation Company Limited.
